3 x Week accessible course to introduce Mindfulness
Created by Oxford Mindfulness Federation. 3 x 1 hour sessions. New course for complete beginners in Mindfulness or for participants who would like to do a refresher for continued practice.
Zoë is certified to teach this course. Training with Oxford Mindfulness Federation.
The home practice for this course is only 10 minutes a day of formal practice (body scan, 3 step breathing space) and a few minutes of informal practice (10 finger gratitude, Mindfulness of everyday activities) which makes it very accessible for beginners and for participants who are short of time.
The breathing space now has options for those that find breath work triggering.
Attention as a gateway to experience. Where and how we choose to place our attention shapes our experience. We can learn to gather the scattered mind and train our attention.
Exploring different ways of being and knowing: thinking, experiential and observing (de-centring).
Different ways of knowing/being as ground for wisdom and self-care.
Breathing space as a vehicle to recognise and shift within modes.
"Between stimulus and response, there is a space." Taking a breathing space creates space.
Recognising, allowing and de-centering from experience is a key step in responding. Responding skilfully is a practice for all aspects of our life, for life.

I offer a free 30 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit to support change in your life. We'll discuss your intentions and create a Mindful plan to support them. In Mindful Coaching we talk more about intentions rather than striving for goals. We'll talk self-compassion, present moment awareness, gratitude, acceptance and we'll tune into to our senses and allow the mind to just be as it is.

I happened upon Zoë's Mindfulness course at a very pivotal time in my life. After an extended illness and much anxiety about returning to work , I was given the tools to overcome so much of my fear and worry. This course enabled me to deal with my insecurities, to face my fear and enable me to regain my confidence. It also gave me incredible tools to focus on the importance of relaxation and to prioritise self worth in a safe and nurturing environment.I cannot recommend this enough. Thank you. Natalie. C. "The programme is based on the best-selling book, Mindfulness: Finding Peace in Frantic World. It is a highly accessible, engaging and practical introduction to mindfulness. We have developed a programme that teaches mindfulness skills and how to use these skills to improve wellbeing and resilience to stress. It has been found to be effective with adults in workplaces, University students and school teachers.
The course’s themes include: waking up to the life you have, gathering the scattered mind, relating differently to thoughts and worries, practising kindness, and nourishing activities.
This course is for anyone who wants a structured, practical, and highly accessible introduction to mindfulness. It is appropriate for people new to mindfulness, anyone who has tried mindfulness apps or perhaps read a book and wants the structure of a course led by an experienced teacher."
